Dre Birskovich started building experience in communications and advertising at a boutique retail ad agency while still a student at the University of Southern California. As a publicist for Click, she spends her days making new press contacts (stalking her personal favorites on Twitter), crafting pitches, and brainstorming feature stories. Known in certain circles as “The Tween Whisperer” for her work on campaigns featuring Hannah Montana, Zanessa, and the Jonas Brothers, Dre navigates the fine line between child-like and childish with professionalism and enthusiasm. From crafts to clips, Dre challenges herself with finding the most appropriate press partner, or the perfect pitch angle for each asset.
When she’s not scouring the Internet for the next batch of targeted niche websites and blogs, she’s a gossip blog reading, NPR-tuned, Netflix junkie, and thrives on discussions about any entertainment-related subject. She mourns the loss of bygone TV shows like My So-Called Life, Six Feet Under, The West Wing, and, most recently, Life on Mars. On DVD, Dre rewinds and re-watches her well-loved copies of Dazed and Confused, The Cutting Edge, and Sixteen Candles.
