Welcome to Click’s Trailer Park – Julie’s discussion of some of the most exciting trailers to hit the Interwebs. Here are a few that have her pumped for Fall 2011!

  • The Muppets: From The Muppets Take Manhattan to The Great Muppet Caper, the beloved Muppets found their way into my heart many moons ago. In fact, I still own a Muppet Babies stuffed animal set my Mom purchased for me back in 1988 from McDonald’s. Needless to say, I can’t wait to see Kermit and the gang back on the big screen!
  • The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo: Although, I loved the original Swedish trilogy from tip to toe, I’m really looking forward to David Fincher’s US remake. I found Noomi Rapace’s performace as Lisbeth Salander in the original to be absolutely stellar! It’s my hope that Rooney Mara will deliver the same amount of “badass” to this film.
  • The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 1: I can’t wait. There…I said it.
  • 13: This thriller is a remake of the French-language film 13 Tzameti. It’s a gamblin’ man’s game of Russian roulette starring Jason Statham and Mickey Rourke. Looking forward to it!
  • War Horse: This film had me at the title alone. As a lifelong lover of horses and war films, something tells me I better pack a tissue or two for this Steven Spielberg adventure.
  • Anonymous: This trailer’s got me wondering, “What’s in a name?”
  • The Mighty Macs: As a former hoops-playin’ gal raised in private schools, I’m anticipating this film, which appears to prove that girls can, in fact, play ball and still act like a lady.
  • Hugo: Martin Scorsese directing a family film? I’m intrigued!
  • Take Shelter: Looks like a storm’s a-brewin’…or is it?
  • The Ides of March: Clooney vs. Gosling = Caesar vs. Brutus? We shall see!

Welcome to Click’s Trailer Park – This one is a special Geeky Edition presented by our Fearless Leader: Mac McLean! A little something for those with the need for that extra flavor in their moving pictures. Whether it’s extraterrestrial, extraordinary, extra creepy or just extra loud, here’s a few trailers for the genre junkie in 2011.

Something fresh:

  • Red State: Kevin Smith’s first non-horror horror movie.
  • Vanishing on 7th Street: Dig the Twilight Zone reference in the opening sequence.
  • Rango: Fear & Lizards in Las Vegas?
  • Paul: Alien Hijinks!
  • Limitless: Abusing drugs for personal growth.
  • Source Code: Time Travel. In bite-size form.
  • Hanna: Hit Girl For Realz
  • Battle: Los Angeles: Aliens are bad, mmkay?

Some comic adaptations for luck:

  • Thor: It’s Hammer Time!
  • Green Lantern: For the über-nerd, how many Corps cameos will we get? Ch’p? G’Nort? Mogo?
  • Priest: Feral vampires. And Karl Urban, the Genre King!

And a few sequels tossed in for comfort food:

  • Pirates of the Carribean: On Stranger Tides: It’s OK! There’s zombies!
  • Fast Five: BOOM!

Welcome to Click’s Trailer Park – Amanda’s bi-monthly discussion of some of the most exciting trailers to hit the Interwebs. Here are a few that have her pumped for the 2011!

  • Need some help exorcising the holidays? Check out The Rite.
  • The Beaver. Jodie Foster directs Mel Gibson and his puppet.
  • How about some popcorn movie fun? Single White Female for a new generation. Try The Roomate.
  • Red Riding Hood looks like a darker fairy tale that steers a little more adult than Twilight.
  • Saying you have HIGH hopes for Your Highness wouldn’t be too out of character.
  • Water for Elephants: The book is a modern classic, and who doesn’t like a melodramatic circus love story?
  • Who knows exactly what it will be about, but Tree of Life is undeniably gorgeous and directed by Terrence Malick so, chances are, it will be pretty spectacular.

Welcome to Click’s Trailer Park – Amanda’s monthly discussion of some of the most exciting trailers to hit the Interwebs. Here are a few that have her pumped for the Holiday Movie Season!

  • I am practically counting the days until Black Swan hit theaters. I literally gasped the first time I saw the trailer. Suspiria is one of my favorite movies and hopefully the similar themes in this film will prove to be just as creepy (if less drenched in blood).
  • Burlesque. You can’t get much campier than Cher. What could possibly be a better anecdote to family stress at Thanksgiving than a fluffy piece of dessert like this?
  • Speaking of Thanksgiving, I know Morning Glory will make everyone in my family happy. Terrific cast: Rachel McAdams is by far the most talented and charming actress to fuss and stammer her way through rom-coms right now, and I look forward to the return of Harrison Ford’s funny side, which I haven’t seen in something where he’s not wearing a hat or a whip in quite a while.
  • I Am Number Four is one of those books that you just can’t wait to see what they do with the film version.
  • When a trailer alone gets my heart pounding like the one for Heartless does, it moves to the film directly to my must-see list. Acclaimed director, deals with the devil, and a creepy dark tone – all great elements.
  • The Coen Brothers remaking True Grit. Yes please!
  • Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is a given, right? Whether or not you are a fan of the series, this should be, well, stupefying.
  • Slick, glossy, and exciting, TRON: Legacy one of those trailers you want to live in. I can’t wait to see this in IMAX 3D.
  • Blue Valentine is getting tremendous accolades, and not simply for how dreamy Ryan Gosling is.
  • The Company Men looks to be as moving and personal as Up In The Air.
  • Broadcast News is a favorite of mine, and How Do You Know appears to have all the potential to be just as great.
  • I’m intrigued to see a glamourous international spy thriller with Johnny Depp as the hapless foil. The Tourist seems to fit the bill.
